Your design-hub: A place to keep up to date on information and to input your ideas, which will have an impact on your project’s design and outcome. It’s your CANVAS…
2nd Design Iteration
Welcome to your project page. Here you will find up to date design information for comment. This page is used as a communication tool between design stages.
CANVAS are pleased to be selected to develop the skatepark design with you and will use this tool, coupled with any in-person design workshops, to develop the design to sign-off stage.
New design iterations and information will be posted here. Please use the box at the bottom of the page to send us your comments. Comments will be stored within CANVAS' Data Protection Policy guidelines. Essentially, only CANVAS employees and the project project team will be able to view your comments.
Please note: The below design is to be developed further with the community and is likely to require being made slightly smaller in footprint to allow for any ground condition findings that could require enhanced sub-structure works. However, this will be designed and developed further with the community to assure its success.
Many thanks,
The CANVAS team

latest design revisions
Below are the notes that informed the latest design iteration
Love the big block
Ramp on one half of the up down steps-pad.
Unanimously love the design and the space in general.
Poss delete no. 12 pump bump to flat
In two minds whether the long Qtr-ledge has the ledge and hip or not
Revise perimeter to fit within the proposed boundary
Steeper Pyramid - more like St Just
Flatten the top of the pyramid
Need some larger bits beyond the 100% 2' height elements. Increase some elements
Flat bank instead of seating
Reduce length of spine?
Spine can go if needs be
A taco inclusion somewhere
Can loose a repeated ledge or maybe change one to a manny pad
Pole jam to be solid triangle if it stays in
Like the kerbs. Have one kink longer than the other so it has a normal kerb feel to that side
Don’t want that jolt when dropping into tiny quarters to a hubba
Have your say
